WHY ORGANIC?

The skincare industry remains largely unregulated. Many brands use the words "organic” and "natural” on their packaging and in their marketing.  Quite frankly it's baloney.

The Organic Food Chain (OFC) Pty Ltd independently certifies our products to stringent global standards. While it's a lot of extra work for us, their logo and our individual certification number (484) assures integrity, transparency and instils confidence that our products are organic by origin and nature because all of our ingredients must be traceable back to their source.

Our products have been meticulously researched and selected to work synergistically with the skin. We don't make label claims. We manufacture and maintain our own formulations to ensure that the highest percentages of bioactive ingredients are used and that they deliver results.

We've well established relationships with reputable suppliers who provide us with relevant and compliant organic certification for all the raw materials that we use.  

Our products are VEGAN and CRUELTY FREE and don't contain animal products or animal by-products including honey and beeswax.

THERE ARE TWO LEVELS OF ORGANIC CERTIFICATION:

The majority of our product range are certified organic which means that 95% + of the content is made from certified organic origin. 

The remaining products contain >75% and <95% certified organic content and are classified as containing certified organic ingredients.  

The balance of the formulations excluding water and non-agricultural ingredients such as minerals and salt must be from natural origin.

For peace of mind, and in order to maintain our certified organic status on an annual basis, our products must be free of the following nasties:

• Petrochemicals and other synthetic substances

• Non organic products of animal origins

• Talc

• Fragrances and other colour components of non-organic or synthetic origin

• Anti-microbial agents not produced from organic sources

• Chelating agents based on EDTA and its salts

• Fatty Chain source material of petrochemical origin

• Ethoxylation and propoxylation

• Alkyl Sulphates (eg Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium Coco Sulphate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate)

• Alkyl Ether Sulphates (eg Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Ammonium Laureth Sulphate)

• Polyethylene Glycol (PEGS)

• Polysorbates (eg Polysorbate 20)

• Ethanolamides (eg Cocamide DEA, Cocamide MEA)

• Chemically synthesised sunscreens

• Potentially harmful preservatives
